Assessment of study of Automated Tube Current Modulation in CT

Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Introduction: Investigating the consequences of an automated tube current modulation (ATMC) is the goal of this study.Regarding computed tomography radiation dose and picture quality in chest patients, artificial intelligence (AI) is perfected and low radiation doses are employed. The only type of cancer that kills both men and women is lung cancer.Lung cancer is also at increased risk due to smoking.80 to 90 percent of lung cancer cases are caused by smoking.Lung screening is successful when lung cancer is detected early and reduces lung cancer fatalities among high-risk people by roughly 20%.Due to the fact that lung screening with low-dose CT scans is the most efficient way to find malignancies in their early stages, no contrast agent is required for lung cancer screening with LDCT.Method & Material: This study is conducted with the aim of automated tube current modulation. The set of data as a survey Performa will be used and it is obtained from the CT scan of the Radiology department at MAHARISHI MARKANDESHWAR INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES AND RESEARCH.The study population of 50 patients and medical professionals took part in this study. The information was gathered by watching patients, and demographics, including age group, gender ratio, Akshita, Shilpa Singh https://iaeme.com/Home/journal/IJMES18 [email protected] group, weight range, and radiation dose. The frequency means and percentage were used in the descriptive statistical analysis of the data. Results: There are 7 patients (28% of the total) who are underweight, 10 patients (40% of the total) who are normal weight, and 8 patients (32% of the total) who are overweight in the 16-Slice CT.Part (b) has a 128-Slice CT scan machine in which there are 25 patients divided into three groups, Underweight, Normal weight, and Overweight.Of the total number of patients 4 (16%) were included as Underweight, 48% of patients are under Normal weight of which there are 12 patients and Overweight has a total number of 9 (36%) patients included in the 128-Slice CT scan. Conclusion: As the ATCM settings and the CT method are changed, many investigations explain noise changes (measured in Hounsfield units [HU] as SDs of the CT number). Each manufacturer offers an ATCM version and a suggested programmed configuration. If a low blood sugar level is present, the CT scan will take 30 seconds.ATCM which is (Automated Tube Current Modulation), value is fixed, it cannot be changed even by a technologist or radiographer.
