Abstract: The Russians and Rwandans are here to reinforce the regime, not to act as impartial enforcers.Meanwhile, Central African forces follow Bangui's orders, ready to suppress any dissenting voice."However, presidential spokesman Albert Yalok e Mokpem condemned what he described as "smear campaigns" led by opposition politicians and their supporters against Central African authorities and their Russian allies.Pro-government Ndjoni Sango (12/3) reported that Mokpem had criticised the "defeatist and destructive" stance of the opposition, particularly targeting opposition leader Martin Zigu el e. Zigu el e recently shared a video purportedly showing Russian military instructors in CAR torturing a Central African citizen, blaming President Touad era for the alleged abuse."However, after verification, it was established that the viral videointended solely to tarnish the image of the Head of State and Russian instructorswas actually filmed in Libya more than seven years ago," the report said.The outlet accused Zigu el e of using the video as propaganda to serve "Western imperialist interests", claiming that foreign powers remain hostile to the strong cooperation between CAR and Russia.
