Pelesapan Argumen Kalimat Majemuk pada Cerita Pendek “Lintah”: Kajian Tipologi Sintaksis
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The problem discussed in this study is the omission of arguments in compound sentences in the short story “Lintah” as an expansion of insight into the implications of syntactic typology in fictional texts. The purpose of this study is to describe the most frequently found omission patterns and the most frequently made explicit arguments about the type of language used. This study uses a qualitative method. Data collection was carried out using the observation method in the short story “Lintah” as the data source. Data were obtained using the note-taking technique so that the form of written data was compound sentences. The analysis method used the distribution method with the basic technique being the Direct Element Sharing (BUL) technique by dividing the elements of compound sentences into clauses and words. Then the omission technique is used to determine the argument omission. The results of this study are that the most frequently found pattern is the S=A pattern, with as many as 10 data. On the other hand, the S=O and O=S patterns were not found at all. Based on these results, it is known that Indonesian as the language used in the short story is an accusative language type according to Dixon's theory. The findings also show the implications of syntactic structure in the use of language in fictional texts.
