Abstract: Ukraine suffers from mine and explosive contamination left over from the First and Second World Wars, as well as from the ongoing conflict in the east of the country since 2014, which escalated into a full-scale war. At the beginning of 2023, the press service of the SES of Ukraine reported that more than 40% of the territory (250,000 km2) was mined. The UN ranks Ukraine as one of the most mined countries in the world in terms of the area of mined land. The scale of mining exceeds countries where military conflicts have lasted for decades. Before the full-scale invasion, approximately 46 km2 of territory was subject to humanitarian demining in 2021. Optimistic analysts estimate the duration of post-war humanitarian demining of contaminated areas with explosive ordnance at 5-10 years, while pessimistic forecasts suggest more than 70 years. Under such circumstances, and taking into account foreign experience, approaches should be developed to return the most promising land plots to economic use as a matter of priority. The introduction of the latest technologies in the field of humanitarian demining expands the capabilities of modern demining systems and causes changes in the nature, forms and methods of demining. The task of humanitarian demining of territories from explosive hazards is of utmost relevance today. The article presents the results of experimental studies to determine the compliance of the TREMBITA-F frame metal detector with the requirements of the Procedure for Implementing a Pilot Project for the Mandatory Certification of Mechanised Demining (Humanitarian Demining), Related Products, Components and Equipment, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 271 of 08.03.2024 (hereinafter - CMU Resolution No. 271 of 08.03.2024). The conducted experimental study confirms that the TREMBITA-F frame metal detector can be certified for humanitarian demining in Ukraine in terms of detecting anti-tank mines.
