Abstract: The article about the problems of the emergence of the Postmodern era. Turning to the views of Y. Habermas,J. Liotara, M. Fischer and G. Boris, the author evaluates the parallel approaches of these thinkers. The article examines the criticism of the "Postmodern" project through various spheres of society: Culture, Economy, Politics, aestethics.Also, for a more detailed differentiation of the affected issues, a comparativism of concepts is initiated: "Modern" and "Postmodern". The demarcation and connection of social development and cultural status is carried out.Historically, the point of origin of the concept of "Modern" and the approximate period of transition to "Postmodern" are illustrated. The trends of the differences between the two cultural states are touched upon in order to establish the main ideas of these worldview paradigms.The position of supporters of the self-sufficiency of the Postmodern is described and analyzed for a more complete explanation of criticism, in the context of the research topic.
