Ideological and Archetypal Code of Service of the Russian Armed Forces in the Modern Conditions

Abstract: The article examines the cultural archetypal foundations of the formation of the spiritual foundations of the ministry of the Russian army. Three principles are presented as such: the image of the Mother, the image of the Father and the religious illumination of the sacred marriage (hierogamy) between them. The evolution of these principles is traced at various stages of the development of the country and the armed forces. It is suggested that the state of the country’s defense capability, the level of patriotic feelings of the soldiers largely depended on how harmoniously the three principles presented were combined. It is concluded that the current spiritual state of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation depends on compliance with traditional principles.
