Abstract: The study was conducted to determine the features of the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus (type 2 diabetes) at the outpatient stage. Manifest type 2 diabetes was diagnosed untimely, already at the stage of development of micro- and/or macrovascular complications; type 2 diabetes mellitus without damage to target organs was verified only in 9 (18%) patients.
