Cultivating the Spirit of Science: Innovative Strategies in the News Communication Discipline

Abstract: 科学家精神在新闻传播学科的培养中具有重要的理论价值与实践意义，它不仅关乎新闻从业者的求真务实精神，也直接影响新闻行业的专业化与创新能力。本研究探讨科学家精神在新闻传播教育中的适用性，并分析当前新闻传播学教育体系、新闻行业职业文化以及新媒体技术变革对科学家精神培育的挑战。研究发现，新闻教育体系中理论与实践脱节、学术评价体系固化、跨学科融合不足等因素制约了科学家精神的有效培育。同时，新闻行业的商业化运作模式、流量导向机制以及社交媒体环境下的信息碎片化传播，使得新闻从业者难以保持严谨求实的新闻价值观。为此，本文提出基于科学家精神的新闻教育改革路径，包括构建跨学科融合的课程体系、优化师资培养机制、推动数据新闻与人工智能技术的深度融合，以及建立产学研协同创新体系，以培养具备科学素养、批判性思维和创新能力的新闻传播人才。研究认为，科学家精神的引入将有助于提升新闻报道的真实性、数据分析能力和深度调查水平，为新闻行业的专业化与学术创新提供有力支持。The spirit of scientists plays a crucial role in journalism and communication education, influencing not only journalists’ commitment to truth-seeking but also the professionalism and innovation of the media industry. This study explores the applicability of the scientific spirit in journalism education and examines the challenges posed by journalism education systems, industry culture, and new media technology transformation. The findings reveal that the disconnection between theory and practice, rigid academic evaluation systems, and insufficient interdisciplinary integration hinder the cultivation of the scientific spirit in journalism education. Additionally, commercialization, audience-driven content selection, and the fragmentation of information dissemination in social media environments challenge journalists’ ability to uphold rigorous and truth-based news values. Therefore, this paper proposes a reform strategy for journalism education based on the scientific spirit, including the development of interdisciplinary curricula, enhancement of faculty training, integration of data journalism and artificial intelligence, and the establishment of industry-academia collaborative innovation systems. The study concludes that incorporating the scientific spirit into journalism education can enhance news authenticity, data analysis skills, and investigative journalism, thereby supporting the professionalization and academic innovation of the journalism industry.
