Abstract: The aim of the research is to substantiate the effectiveness of using a didactic complex of interactive tasks, built on the basis of media texts, for the formation of knowledge of etiquette forms of politeness in Russian as a foreign language classes. The article demonstrates the progress of the implementation of a socio-cultural professionally-oriented project that forms etiquette linguistic and extra-linguistic knowledge of foreign students in the "Linguistics" field. The scholarly novelty of the research lies in the fact that it presents, for the first time, a socio-cultural professionally-oriented project aimed at the formation of etiquette knowledge based on media texts. As a result of experimental work, it was established that the use of media texts for the formation of knowledge of etiquette forms of politeness has a high degree of effectiveness.
