Acupoint Application Combined with Auricular Point Pressure in the Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis Complicated with Anxiety

Abstract: 溃疡性结肠炎是一种病因不明的弥漫性非特异性炎症性肠病，主要累及结直肠黏膜，以粘液脓血样变为主要症状。溃疡性结肠炎是一种终身性疾病，会对患者产生深远的情感和社会影响。焦虑，是溃疡性结肠炎的一种常见并发症。目前，西医治疗溃疡性结肠炎主要使用免疫抑制剂、糖皮质激素等药物，但长期使用会导致严重的副作用和加重患者的经济负担。根据中医辨证论治，可将溃疡性结肠炎归于“痢疾”、“肠风”等范畴，中医治疗痢疾有丰富的经验和独特的见解，中药穴位贴敷和耳穴压豆是中医的特色外治法，疗效显著，操作方便，经济安全。文章介绍了一种有效改善溃疡性结肠炎患者肠道症状和缓解焦虑情绪的方法，即利用穴位贴敷和耳穴压豆疗法刺激患者的特定穴位。Ulcerative colitis is a diffuse, non-specific inflammatory bowel disease of unknown etiology, mainly involving the colorectal mucosa, and the main symptom is mucoempyema. Ulcerative colitis is a lifelong condition that can have profound emotional and social effects on those who suffer from it. Anxiety is a common complication of ulcerative colitis. At present, Western medicine mainly uses immunosuppressants, glucocorticoids, and other drugs in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, but long-term use will lead to serious side effects and increase the financial burden on patients. According to the syndrome differentiation of Chinese medicine, ulcerative colitis can be classified as “dysentery”, “intestinal wind”, and other categories. Chinese medicine has rich experience and unique insights in the treatment of dysentery. Chinese medicine acupoint application and ear point pressure bean are the characteristic external treatments of Chinese medicine, with remarkable effects, convenient operation, and economic safety. This paper introduces an effective method to improve intestinal symptoms and relieve anxiety in patients with ulcerative colitis, that is, to stimulate specific acupoints of patients with acupoint application and auricular point pressure therapy.
