Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Yemen is a Muslim country facing a sharp increase in the consumption of narcotic substances. The article presents the results of an empirical study aimed at identifying the attitudes of the country's population towards drugs and drug use, and its determining factors. The attitude of the Yemeni population towards drugs and drug use is largely influenced by cultural, religious and social norms and demonstrates a contradictory picture of the nature of the socio-cultural environment of Yemeni society.
