Abstract: The first main group phosphathioethynolates, [LBH 2 (SCP)] (L = carbene), combine phosphaalkyne, sulfide and hydroborane reactivity to generate complex B,P,S-polyheterocycles, while [LBH 2 (AsCO)] leads to a rare arsinidene–alkene π complex.
