Abstract: Introduction. The article presents the conclusions obtained by analyzing the content of the monograph by B.B. Bulatov and A.S. Dezhnev “Seizure of property” (Omsk, Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Publ., 2023. 140 p.). Results. The monograph by B.B. Bulatov and A.S. Dezhnev is devoted to the study of legislation, doctrinal foundations and practice of applying one of the main measures of criminal procedural coercion of a property nature - the seizure of property. The authors, after a detailed study of the current procedure and the problems arising during its implementation, revealed the uncertainty of the essence of this compulsory measure, its place in the system of criminal procedure legislation, the prerogatives of the participants involved in its implementation and competition issues and regulations of various branches of law.
