Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Different Methods for Combating Spam in Computer Networks

Abstract: This work is devoted to a comparative analysis of software for protection against unsolicited e-mail. The paper considers 5 applications: Apache SpamAssassin, Kaspersky Internet Security, MailWasher, SPAMfighter and Norton 360 Standard. A test dataset containing 4,993 emails was used. The results showed that the Kaspersky product is the most optimal solution.
