Abstract: Throughout history, humanity has always shown interest in art, and as a result, engaged with it. This engagement has eventually manifested as a product. Literature, as an art form, has been a domain of human activity, primarily through stories and various other genres. Numerous stories have been written, read, and appreciated. Some of these stories have been selected to create distinct literary works. Compilations, in this sense, are the product of such a selective process. These works not only present literary material but also provide linguistic material. A 17th-century story compilation is important in terms of presenting the linguistic material of its time. In particular, attention has been drawn to the use of the -yor suffix, which is now used in Turkish to indicate the present continuous tense, through a few examples of its existence.
