Recent advances in the design and biocidal mechanisms of room-temperature catalytic nanomaterials for efficient inactivation of bioaerosols
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Airborne transmission of bioaerosol has become a critical pathway for spreading respiratory infectious diseases, posing a significant threat to public health. Conventional bioaerosol control methods often face challenges such as limited persistence, additional energy requirements, and potential side effects . Room-temperature catalysis has emerged as a promising, effective, and eco-friendly approach for bioaerosol control. This review summarizes recent advancements in room-temperature catalysis for bioaerosol control, focusing on the design strategies of room-temperature catalytic nanomaterials , the mechanisms underlying their applications, and future prospects. This comprehensive review aims to provide insights that will drive the development and innovation of new nanosystems for air purification .
