Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: This study aimed to analyse the impact of digital media on volunteers' behaviour in non-profit organizations, explore the challenges they face due to reliance on it, and examine the relationship between transparency and accountability in these organizations and the use of digital media. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach using questionnaires distributed to a sample of 60 volunteers in Riyadh. The findings revealed that digital media significantly facilitates tracking organizational achievements and raising awareness about the importance of volunteering, with an overall approval rate of 88%. The results also indicated that digital media facilitates communication among volunteers and the exchange of experiences. However, challenges such as difficulty in distinguishing between credible and non-credible organizations and technical issues that may hinder effective participation were highlighted, with an approval rate of 72%. Regarding the relationship between transparency and accountability, the findings confirmed that digital media contributes to enhancing transparency by publishing periodic reports and providing opportunities for volunteers to interact and share their feedback, which boosts trust in the organization, with an approval rate of 80%. The study recommended the development of engaging digital media content to motivate volunteers, providing continuous training on the use of digital tools, and establishing clear policies to enhance transparency and accountability. These measures would contribute to achieving the goals of non-profit organizations more efficiently and effectively. Keywords: Digital Media, Volunteering, Non-Profit Organizations.
