Abstract: The article analyses various approaches to the interpretation of the term financial support. The key aspects of the studied concept and mechanisms of efficient use of financial resources are considered. Based on the results of data systematisation, the author offers her own vision of approaches to the interpretation of the concept of financial support of agro-industrial enterprises. The main groups of financial resources used to ensure the activities of agricultural enterprises, as well as the mechanisms of their accumulation and distribution, are described. It is established that financial support includes not only the process of formation of finances, but also the management of costs, investments and optimisation of financial flows in the context of modern economic conditions. An integrated approach to financial provision is proposed, which takes into account internal and external factors affecting agroindustrial enterprises. The importance of integrating the processes of financing, lending, self-financing and budget financing to achieve sustainability and competitiveness of enterprises in the market is determined. Within the framework of this concept, attention is focused on the need to effectively use the methods and tools of the financial mechanism that contribute to the development and modernisation of agricultural production. The role of financial support in the formation of economic sustainability and sustainable development of business entities, improving their competitive position in the global environment is considered. It is determined that for the effective functioning of agro-industrial enterprises it is important to improve the management of financial resources, in particular through the development of clear financing strategies and reduction of financial risks. It is concluded that in order to achieve high efficiency of agro-industrial enterprises and ensure a competitive market position, it is necessary to apply an integrated approach to financial support, which includes the management of financial flows and constant updating of financial instruments and mechanisms.
