Theoretical Analysis and Numerical Simulation Research on the Response of Inertial Switches
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper focuses on inertial switches, which are vital in multiple fields. A theoretical analysis model based on the spring-mass model was proposed, aiming to acquire the mechanical performance of the inertial switch under different loading conditions and reveal the influence of design parameters on its dynamic response. Moreover, a numerical simulation model was established using ADAMS 2019 software. Through a series of orthogonal simulations, the effects of the overload peak value and pulse width on the switch's characteristics were studied. The comparison between theoretical predictions and numerical results shows good agreement. Furthermore, based on numerical results, binary phase diagrams of the peak value and pulse width were obtained, determining the critical curves involving the overload peak value and pulse width, which provides guidance for the design of inertial switches.
