The content of the formation of linguistic competence of students of medical universities

Abstract: The aim of the article is to consider the peculiarities of studying linguistic disciplines by medical students. Special attention is paid to determining the degree of importance of communicative skills of a doctor from the point of view of modern sociocultural and socio-psychological bases of interaction with a patient. As a result, two parallel stages of students’ training (communicative and communicative-professional), which are aimed at the formation of linguistic competence at all levels of medical education, are highlighted and characterized.
