Characterization of Carbon Nanotubes: Properties and Applications
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Due to their small size and ability to pass through blood vessels and enter the cell wall, carbon nanotubes are technological innovations for the medical industry. The bionanotube can be changed between two states by adjusting its electrical charge. The bionanotube's ends open when a negative charge is applied, and they close when a positive charge is provided. Because of this characteristic, they can be used in a variety of medical applications, such as genetic engineering, where specific gene sequences can be transferred to the appropriate location by means of the DNA macromolecule, or the delivery of certain medications to specific locations, such cancer cells.
