Abstract: The article analyzes the life of Carl Gustav Jung, one of the most prominent researchers of the 20th century, who left a deep mark on medicine and psychology. The article examines his relationship with Sigmund Freud and a number of key facts of his biography that influenced the formation of Jung's personality as a scientist, his ideas about life and mental processes.
