Abstract: Hearing aids in noise areas – new developments In practice, the question arises as to whether adequate hearing protection is available for employees with hearing impairments in jobs exposed to noise. The availability of combination solutions consisting of hearing aids and hearing protection offers a potentially suitable option to ensure both hearing protection and the ability to communicate. Knowledge of the various systems and their specific properties is essential in order to be able to make a well-founded recommendation.
