Abstract: Verse dictionaries, one of the subjects of classical Turkish literature, have undertaken important tasks in the transmission, promotion and ultimately adoption of culture. Particularly bilingual Arabic-Turkish, Persian-Turkish and trilingual Arabic Persian-Turkish verse dictionaries have been an important part of education for centuries thanks to the rhythm and rhyme harmony that strengthens the ability to memorize poems. These dictionaries, whose main goal is to teach words and rhythm, have managed to find a place for themselves in Turkish culture in every century due to their popularity. The Persian-Turkish verse dictionary called Kân-ı Maʿânî written by Hasan Rızâyî (1599-?), one of the 17th century Aksaray Divan poets, is one of these. The work, first written in 1052 Hijri / 1642-43 Gregorian, is a parallel to Tuhfe-i Şahidî (copyright date: 1514), which has an important place in the history of verse dictionaries. This copy, consisting of 34 leaves (1b-34a), was written in Cemâdi’l-âhire 1084/ September-October 1673.
