Abstract: The 1960s and 1970s are a special period for both world and Azerbaijani literature. The socio-political changes that occurred in the world after the death of Josef Stalin had a great impact in the field of literature as well as in every field. The Human character, which was ranked second and third in the Soviet period, managed to come to the fore again in this period. If in the past the heroes of the work consisted of governors, presidents, managers, and deputy presidents, in this period ordinary human characters in society - janitors, couriers, suburban people, people living outside the city became the main heroes. The important people who contributed to this work were poets and writers. In the works they wrote, they described everything realistically and naturally and did not describe their “extraordinary” character. Heroes no longer perform miracles, and they no longer turn into “labor heroes” in a short time. Man appeared before the readers as a real human being, not as “homo sovetikus”. Ordinary, unsuccessful, sinister and unlucky people of the period are reflected in the works in a realistic way. The unrealistic “positive Soviet people” until Stalin moved to second and even third place in this period. The thinking human model has become the important subject of new works. In this study, the concept of human is discussed and the role it plays in literature and real life is analyzed. What is the concept of human in literature, what contributions do humans make to life, etc. Topics such as these are among the important issues covered in the study.
