Delayed Migration of a Valve-in-Valve Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation

Abstract: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is an effective treatment for patients with failed bioprosthetic surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR). Late migration of a TAVI prosthesis deployed in a native valve is extraordinarily rare, with few cases reported; late migration of a valve-in-valve (ViV) TAVI prosthesis is even more uncommon. We report a case of very late migration of a ViV TAVI that occurred >2 years after implantation into a stentless bioprosthetic aortic valve.
