Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Objective- The aim of the research is to obtain a new polyamide-based composition adjusted with various fillers and to develop its physical-mechanical, structural and tribotechnical properties. In addition to determining the optimal batch, experimental and technological regimes for obtaining polyamide-based composite materials, the experiment was first carried out on copper-coated graphite with MoS2 and boron nitride fillers. As a result, mechanical-physical and tribotechnical and operational properties were obtained. Theoretical Framework: Theoretical study of the composite material used before the new study shows that the main disadvantages of fluoroplastic and other material-based composites are their fluidity at ordinary temperatures, as well as low physical-mechanical and tribotechnical workability under various conditions (for example, fluoroplastic + graphite; polyethylene + thermoanthracite + graphite + copper coating, etc.). The indicated materials do not provide performance in the manufacture of cuffs of compressors, pumps and other equipment, side seals of valves. The selection of a polyamide-based material and the addition of electrochemically copper-plated graphite to the fillers for the first time provide grounds for conducting a new study. Method: Theoretical studies were conducted in the light of the scientific foundations of materials technology, materials science, and physical-chemical metallurgy. The accuracy of theoretical results was verified by experimental studies in laboratory and production conditions using modern technical equipment (furnace, press, press mold, special copper plating device, special design and machine for studying the coefficient of friction and wear, electron microscope (SEM, EDX) research devices). Results and Discussion: The theoretical research and actualities show that the known composite materials do not meet the requirements of the set goal, and the discussion of the theoretical results obtained to eliminate the indicated shortcomings, improve the physical-mechanical, technological, tribotechnical and operational properties determines the following research tasks and studies to be solved. The main questions to be studied are the following, which known composite materials have not been solved to date. The solution is the selection and justification of the polyamide base and the composition of the new batch; the acquisition of copper-plated graphite included in the composition; the design and preparation of a new press mold; the study of tribotechnical properties in a new design; a comparative study of mechanical physical operational properties; pre- and post-friction structural investigation, investigation of the dependence of the fiction coefficient and wear intensity on the component concentration and temperature. Research Implications: The following are the reasons why there is a great need for the application of a new polymer-based filled composite material in friction and sealing joints of equipment under various conditions. The inclusion of new copper-plated graphite with MoS2 and anisotropic boron nitride in the composition of the sealing materials used in the joints guarantees the receipt of new scientific results. The obtained optimal batch composition has shown its effect during operation, along with the acquisition of uniform structures and properties. It has led to an increase in the operating time of up to 620-980 hours and a significant . Originality/Value: reduction in the friction coefficient and wear development. The researched polymer-based materials and technologies are devoted to the study of the physical-mechanical, structural, tribotechnical and operational properties of new polyamide-based and filled composite materials. It guarantees the application of various sealing materials to friction joints of equipment used in the oil and gas and chemical engineering fields.
