Abstract: ABSTRACT: Malt dust and straw is an organic solid residue originating from the beginning of the beer production process. In this research or study, chemical and physical-chemical analyzes were carried out to characterize the malt powder and straw in nutritional terms. The experimental procedure included the collection of industrial waste, grinding, granulometry analysis, chemical analysis: ash, total nitrogen, crude protein, ether extract, crude fiber, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, carbohydrates and micro and macronutrients. Contents of 97.61% dry matter, 13.31% crude protein, 2.34% ether extract, 9.02% crude fiber and 69.91% non-nitrogen extractive were found. The levels of micro and macro nutrients present low values of Ca, Na, Mn. However, Ca can be supplemented in the diet with calcitic limestone and sodium by ingesting mineral salt. Malt powder and straw presented good nutritional value and can be used as one of the complements to a recipe in a balanced diet for animals.
