Abstract: Identifying the effect of using snakes and ladders learning media on the level of interest in learning mathematics of class VIII students at UPT SMP Negeri 24 Medan is the purpose of this study. The research method used was quasi-experiment with non-equivalent group design. There were two groups involved in the research, namely the experimental class that used snakes and ladders media in the learning process and the control class without using media. Data was collected through a Likert scale questionnaire which was used to assess students' interest in learning before and after the treatment was given. The results showed that the average post-test score of the experimental class of 34.03 was greater than the control class score of 30.1. Based on the independent sample t-test, a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05 was found with t_count (3.319) > t_table (2.051). This shows a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, this study concludes that the utilization of learning media in the form of snakes and ladders affects students' interest in learning mathematics.
