Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Extract Sarcoidosis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disorder of unknown aetiology, characterised by the accumulation of T lymphocytes, mononuclear phagocytes and the formation of noncaseating granulomata in affected tissues [1]. It has a variable clinical presentation and disease course that depends on the organs involved. Diagnosis is based on multiple factors including symptoms, physical examination, radiological abnormalities and histopathological findings of noncaseating granulomas from involved tissues or organs and the exclusion of other causes [2].
