Oxidation behaviors of SiOCN coatings with tunable carbon content on stainless steel at 800 °C in Ar, Ar + H 2 O, and air atmospheres
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The carbon content in SiOCN coatings governs the steel oxidation behavior at 800 °C. Carbon-rich coatings form Fe-rich oxides and gaps at the coating/alloy interface, carbon-free ones offer protection, and intermediate ones show partial degradation.
