Abstract: A difficult subject to approach, stirring and of significant interest as a perspective in an increasingly accelerated and dynamic world, the impact of the former Securitate on Romanian archaeology and museum studies represents a powerful source of discovering the truth and shaping a systemic understanding of an era. Additionally, researching the documents of the former Securitate provides valuable insight into certain current and future states of affairs. Impactful events (such as the recent pandemic, the war in Ukraine, national and international political phenomena, etc.) require quality informational resources and the safeguarding of national cultural heritage for the benefit of future generations.
