Abstract: : The escalating concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) due to anthropogenic activities has intensified the urgency to develop effective mitigation strategies. Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies have emerged as pivotal solutions to reduce CO₂ emissions from industrial sources and power generation. This paper delves into the advancements in CCS technologies, exploring innovative materials, processes, and implementation strategies. It examines the current state of CCS, highlights recent breakthroughs, and discusses the challenges and prospects associated with large-scale deployment. By integrating scientific research with practical applications, this study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the role of CCS in achieving global climate goals.
