Abstract: This study employs a qualitative research design that utilizes a document analysis approach. The document analysis consists of a collection of theories obtained from various sources. The theoretical framework will be developed from a range of books, documents, journals, and articles within the Catholic tradition related to hospice care, moral theology, and bioethics. This paper aims to present the background of the formation process and the objectives of hospice care. Additionally, it will emphasize the psychological transformation stages experienced by terminally ill cancer patients, highlighting the pain, anxiety, and fear of death they confront. Furthermore, the paper will underscore the importance of virtues, particularly the virtue of hope, in their journey.
