Abstract: Agricultural extension workers rely on many sources to acquire new information and improve practices.The objective of this study is to reveal to what extent agricultural extension in Gezira State resort to the available sources of agricultural information.A questionnaire was developed to collect the needed data.All the extension workers in Gezira State (61) were included in the research sample and interviewed directly by the researcher.The collected data was processed and fed to computer and analyzed by Statistical Package for Social Science program (SPSS).Frequencies and percentages were calculated for descriptive analysis, while weighted mean was calculated to determine what the main source of information to agricultural extension workers.The results revealed that agricultural extension workers' information source are: depend on agricultural research centre by weighted mean 3.1, seek information from Ministry of agriculture by weighted mean 2.6, rely on internet web sites by weighted mean 3.2, resort to agricultural journals by weighted mean 2.4, depend on agricultural radio, TV.program and by weighted mean 3.3, resort to scientific books by weighted mean 3.4, depend on peers and friends to by a weighted mean of 3.2, rely on seminars to gain new information by weighted mean 4.5 and depend on conferences as a source of information by weighted mean 3.5.It is recommended to establish a good linkage with agricultural research to gain the latest research results through periodical scientific
