Year: 2024
Type: review
Study design: Systematic Review
Abstract: The use of open-ended learning models in mathematics education has become an important topic in educational research aimed at enhancing students' creative thinking skills. This study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to analyze 20 related articles published between 2019 and 2024. Articles were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria relevant to the topic of mathematical creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the open-ended learning model in improving various aspects of creative thinking, including fluency, originality, and elaboration. The analysis results indicate that the open-ended learning model is significantly more effective compared to conventional learning methods, with noticeable improvements in students' ability to generate creative and diverse solutions. The implications of this study provide valuable insights for educators in designing innovative teaching strategies that foster the development of students' creativity in mathematics.
