Study design: Systematic Review
Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a key tool in the transformation of education, enabling the personalization of learning by adapting content and methodologies to the individual needs of students. This study aims to analyze the benefits, challenges and future prospects of AI in education through a literature review. An exploratory methodology based on the systematic analysis of recent scientific literature, selected from indexed databases, was used. The results show that AI improves student motivation and performance, optimizes teaching time and enables adaptive learning. However, challenges remain, such as the digital divide, lack of teacher training and ethical concerns about data use. In the future, the consolidation of hybrid environments, the use of virtual assistants for personalized tutoring and learning analytics are foreseen as key tools in educational decision making. In conclusion, the integration of AI in education represents a significant opportunity, although its effective implementation requires strategies that ensure equity, accessibility and ethical use of data
