Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: ABSTRACT This study explores how water resources are managed in Tripoli, Lebanon, through a theoretical paradigm centered on everyday goods. It addresses the contemporary challenges of water governance, particularly in the context of sustainable development, as the city grapples with issues like water scarcity and climate change. The research adopted a survey methodology to compile data from 300 participants across various regions. Among other things, it emerged that there are a variety of key factors influencing the efficiency of water management: the legitimacy of institutions, strong control mechanisms, and active participation from the community at large. The results reveal the important role of local governance and community engagement in the sustainable management of water resources.
