Abstract: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of anxiety among office employees at the companies SISTRAN and PREMIUM LATINO, based on their working conditions, in the city of Quito during the period from January to August 2024. A descriptive, cross-sectional design was used, with a total sample of 100 participants. Data was collected through digital forms (Google Forms), which included the Labor Conditions Survey and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Analysis was conducted using Epi Info V7 software, employing descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation, and logistic regression. 52% of participants were male, and 73% were between the ages of 21 and 39. The majority worked fewer than 40 hours per week (59%) and held operational positions (58%), with the role of analyst being the most common (64%). The overall prevalence of anxiety was 67%, with a higher incidence among SISTRAN employees (58.21%) compared to PREMIUM LATINO (41.79%), a difference that was statistically significant (p < 0.003). Multivariate analysis showed that PREMIUM LATINO employees were 0.26 times less likely to develop anxiety than those at SISTRAN (OR: 0.26; 95% CI: 0.10–0.66), suggesting a protective effect. Significant differences were also found in working hours (p < 0.02), while variables such as age, gender, and occupation did not show relevant associations. The study highlights the influence of the work environment on workers' mental health.
