Abstract: The Natural Resources Research and Utilization (TEKH) Special College of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Engineering, University of Miskolc set a goal in 2023 to pay special attention to critical raw materials (CRM). In addition to presenting the individual raw material types, it is also important to describe the Hungarian CRM anomalies. This article is dedicated to presenting the various rare earth elements (REE) indications, regardless of the type of geological formation containing the anomaly. Our starting point was the CriticEl project running in the 2010s, but where possible, we expanded the previous results with new ones. Although volcanic formations can also carry exceptionally high concentrations (Mecsek phonolite, Velence beforsite), from an economic perspective, sedimentary deposits (Transdanubian bauxites, Mecsek coals)are more promising.
