Abstract: The article deals with the introduction of sign language into the educational process and its influence on the development of cognitive abilities. It is established that limitation in the use of sign language at school leads to the deterioration of the quality of education. The results of the analysis of literary sources and practical cases of using sign language in the educational process testify to the increase of positively influence the development of their cognitive abilities.
