Abstract: This study aims to reflect on the thematization of indigenous struggles in school physical education. A systematic literature review was adopted as a methodological resource. Data collection was carried out through the following databases: Scielo, Lilacs, Capes Periodicals Portal and Google Scholar, using the following descriptors: “Indigenous struggles” AND “Physical Education” and “Indigenous combat practices” AND “Physical Education”. A total of 192 articles were found, of which nine articles were included after the screening process. Indigenous struggles are still a topic with little presence in physical education classes. Although the physical education curriculum is the target of debates and reflections linked to the search for the decolonization of bodily practices, aspects such as deficits in teacher training, such as few discussions about indigenous cultures and the lack of experience of indigenous struggles, present themselves as the main challenges to be overcome.
