Type: article
Abstract: ABSTRACT This study investigates the linear stability of triple‐diffusive Rayleigh–Bénard convection in the presence of a magnetic field, focusing on the interactions between thermal, solutal and magnetic processes. The research validates the results through comparative analysis with existing literature, demonstrating a significant correlation between the solute Rayleigh numbers and the critical thermal Rayleigh number . Notably, the findings reveal that as the Rayleigh numbers increase, the velocity fluctuations along the ‐axis exhibit a percentage increase of up to 25% for values transitioning from 20,000 to 50,000, indicating enhanced flow dynamics driven by thermal buoyancy effects. Additionally, the temperature gradients along the ‐axis show a marked increase of approximately 30% with rising , underscoring the influence of buoyant forces on temperature distribution and flow stability. The study also highlights the role of the Lewis numbers in characterising the double‐diffusive phenomenon, with variations in these parameters leading to significant changes in the stability regions of the system. The Bejan number analysis indicates that higher Rayleigh numbers correlate with a decrease in irreversibility due to fluid friction, with values dropping by over 40% at compared with . These results provide critical insights into optimising thermal and solutal processes in fluid systems, paving the way for future research aimed at enhancing efficiency in practical applications.
