Analisis Motorik Halus Anak melalui Gunting Satwa Ajaib 3D PAUD

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study aims to describe the evaluation process conducted by teachers to assess the fine motor skills of children aged 4–5 years through the activity of cutting 3D magical animal patterns at Pos PAUD Kelinci, Malang City. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The teacher’s evaluation was carried out continuously, starting from the beginning of the activity to the final stage, where the children folded their cutouts into 3D animal shapes. The assessment focused on accuracy, neatness, and coordination between the child’s hand and eye movements while following the pattern lines. Teachers used performance-based assessments based on photographs of children's activities to observe individual growth and development of fine motor skills. Interview results with the principal and classroom teachers revealed that the evaluation involved direct observation of the child's cutting process, attention to pattern-following accuracy, and descriptive feedback that was later reported to parents. Observations showed that children successfully completed each stage of the activity, from properly handling scissors and following the cutting lines to folding the shapes into three-dimensional forms. The evaluation aligned with early childhood developmental indicators, suggesting that product-based assessment is effective for evaluating fine motor skill achievement. This study recommends using artwork-based evaluation as a beneficial approach in activity-based motor learning.
