Abstract: The article analyses the determinants of the adoption of e-learning in higher education in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the article I will show the peculiarities of the educational market in Poland, which are due to the geographical location of Poland, its membership in the EU, and its proximity to the countries of the former USSR and the related phenomena. In the analysis, I used the Technology Acceptance Model and adapted it to the specifics of the Polish education system. The survey was conducted in 2023 on a sample of more than 1000 students at one of the private universities located in Poland’s capital. I analyzed the relationships between the latent variables (perceived usefulness, ease of use, attitudes toward technology and behavioral intention, and current use of remote learning) and external variables (age, labor activity, mode of study, and nationality). The strongest relationship emerged between the perceived ease of use of remote learning and the perceived usefulness of remote learning. The strength of the relationship between demographic variables and the perceived usefulness of remote learning is negligible.
