Abstract: Introduction Despite colorectal cancer‘s high frequency and severity, the general public is mostly uninformed of its prevention and screening. Objectives To assess the level of knowledge on CRC prevention and screening among staff at a reference cancer center. Methods A cross-sectional investigation was carried out at a reference cancer center. Employees aged 18 and up who had been with the oncology center for at least a year were given a questionnaire that included sociodemographic and evaluative questions about CRC prevention and screening. Results The sample comprised 266 employees, with a median age of 45 (53.00 - 35.75). The majority of staff (76.3%) were female, had at least a year of experience at the reference cancer center (74.1%), and agreed on the definition of CCR. Inflammatory bowel illness was the least commonly recognized risk factor (67.6%). The majority of the sample (56%) recognized all five warning flags. Colonoscopy was the most popular screening test (98.7). Although the health center does not offer official CRC education, the majority of staff (42.1%) reported learning about colorectal cancer while working. There was no difference in perceptions of the optimal age to begin screening between employees 45 years or older and younger workers (p = 0.729). Higher-educated employers were more knowledgeable of the CRC (p = 0.001). Women provided a higher percentage of accurate responses. Conclusion A reference cancer center‘s staff, especially women, those who work directly with patients, and those with higher education levels, have a satisfactory level of knowledge regarding CRC prevention and screening. This result emphasizes the necessity of spreading CCR knowledge more widely, especially to individuals with less education. Publication History Article published online: 25 April 2025 © 2025.
