Uso da terapia com células-tronco para doença inflamatória intestinal em cães
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in dogs is a complex disorder related to bowel dysbiosis, as well as to an inadequate immune response. Its etymology involves genetic, infectious and environmental causes. Standard treatment including immunosuppressive drugs and a controlled diet may be ineffective in some cases, which makes the mesenchymal stem cell therapy a promising approach. Stem cells promote immunomodulation, tissue regeneration and changes in the intestinal microbiome, offering an effective alternative, especially in refractory cases.
