Museum of the Faculty of Dentistry of the National University of Córdoba: History and identity for the promotion of culture

Abstract: The Historical Museum of the Faculty of Dentistry of the National University of Córdoba is a cultural-educational space aimed at curing, preserving and promoting material and immaterial goods linked to the evolutionary history of this Academic Unit, science and the dental profession. In addition to this, it has positioned itself as a visible place not only for the promotion of disciplinary knowledge, but also as a reference point for various cultural, educational, reflective and social interest activities. Our Museum has a double institutional link where, in addition to being dependent on the Faculty of Dentistry, it is an active member of the University Museum Programme (PROMU) of the National University of Cordoba. For more than ten years it has favoured a permanent link with other Faculties of our University, with numerous higher education and non-governmental entities in a close and open exchange with society in general. The various initiatives that are carried out focus on the three basic principles of the Public University, which are Teaching, Research and University Extension. All the proposals have an inclusive character with a particular focus on the family segment and children.
