Abstract: This research aims to reveal the hidden psychological and social dimensions in the novel Namaku Alam by Leila S. Chudori. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach to describe words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that appear in the text. The data collection techniques are reading technique (reading carefully the whole text), listening technique (listening to the information read), and note-taking technique (recording quotations that can become research data). The collected data were analysed using Lucian Goldman's theory to identify personal and social facts hidden in the text. The research found that the main character, Segara Alam, faces a deep inner conflict due to the burden of his family history as political victims. The dreams he experiences reflect the past trauma that continues to haunt him. Thus, this research confirms how social stigma against families of exiles and political prisoners can pass on trauma from one generation to the next.
