Abstract: The song "Petanglah-Petang" is a traditional song originating from Lahat Regency. This song has a deep meaning and can be used as a communication medium for expressing love, patience and empathy. This research aims to analyze the stylistic meaning in the lyrics of the song "Petanglah-Petang" using Roland Baters' semiotic theory. This research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. The data used are the lyrics of the song "Petanglah Petang" from Lahat Regency. Roland Baters' semiotic theory is used to analyze the stylistic meaning of song lyrics. Analysis shows that the lyrics of the song "Petanglah Petang" have complex meanings and can be seen from various perspectives. By using Roland Baters' semiotic theory, the lyrics of this song can be interpreted as a moral message that focuses on motivational values such as empathy, love and patience. This moral message can be seen in the context of the relationship between humans and God, humans and other humans, and themselves
